1.4.17: This Week in Basketball

The non-conference portion of the season is done and we have lots of league action to entertain. Here is the slate.

Tonight Jan 4:

FIU vs MTSU
FAU vs UAB
La Tech vs UTSA
Rice vs ODU
So Miss vs UTEP
NT vs Charlotte

Saturday Jan 6:

Rice vs Charlotte
Southern Miss vs UTSA
FAU vs MTSU
NT vs ODU
Marshall vs WKU
FIU vs UAB
La Tech vs UTEP

The top to teams in CUSA — Marshall and WKU do not play tonight but they do go head to head this Saturday. We get the surprising North Texas at home after sweeping the UTEP/UTSA road last week. Old Dominion travels down to Houston against Rice before heading up to Denton for the Saturday game against NT.

MTSU does the Florida trip this week. They are 1-0 in the league. FIU also hosts UAB on Saturday. Tech is hosting the UT system squads in Ruston this week while NT and Rice take turns hosting ODU and Charlotte.

We will learn some things about the conference but it still is very early days. Enjoy your CUSA basketball
