The league announced that LA Tech defensive end Jaylon Ferguson is one of twenty semifinallists for the Chuck Bednarik Award. UTSA’s LB Josiah Tauefa was named one of ten semifinalists for the Dick Butkus Award.
Ferguson has been dominating and it can be argued (it has) that he won the UNT and UTEP games with his ferocious, nigh-unblockable play.
Tauaefa has been a tackling machine for offensively-challenged UTSA, and is back to his old self after suffering some injuries last season.
