Marshall’s win over Wichita State extended the league’s streak of first-round NCAA tournament wins to four. Western Kentucky made a deep NIT run, falling to Utah in a semifinal Tuesday night. The league, in large part because of its postseason success, ranks 11th in stat guru Ken Pomeroy’s ratings, 10 spots up from last season.
